Let’s build a venue
Ray’s belongs to Chattanooga.
It’s shaped by this community, and it’s for this community.
It’s a safe space for artists to try the idea that scares them, and it’s a gathering space for those of us lucky enough to witness those attempts.
What is Ray’s mission?
To be a room designed to encourage engagement not distraction, and to respect the art and the sharing artist.
To be a safe place and a safe culture for people to connect to themselves and to each other.
To be concerned with the next generation, investing time and money into the actual lives behind our city’s art.
Ray’s is for the artist, for the audience, and for the magic that happens when both meet in the right space.
It invites listening, and it offers audiences the chance to encounter something true to a person, something that asks for their full attention.
A space like Ray’s can be hard to describe — but we think it’s the best parts of a venue, a club, a bar, and a living room.
It’s built for:
— Musicians, performers, artists, and the art they bring
— You, and the experiences you share with others
— Real connection
Some nights there’s a show. Some nights, a conversation.
Always, it’s about what happens when people show up and listen.
